Sadly, Ludlow is still looking for their first win of the season after four matchups. They suffered a tough 13-3 defeat at the hands of the Palmer Panthers on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ludlow of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Palmer's part, Matthew Santos made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Santos was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Theo Haley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Smola, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, a run, and a double.

Ludlow's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Palmer, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ware the next time they take the field. Ludlow will head out to face Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Palmer will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
