Basketball Recap: Academy Charter Sets Scoring Season-High Against Asbury Park

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shore Regional, Academy Charter was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They wrapped up 2024 with a 70-56 win over the Asbury Park Bishops. Academy Charter's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Academy Charter's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Asbury Park, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy Charter will square off against American History at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. American History is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season. As for Asbury Park, they will challenge Central Jersey College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
