Volleyball Recap: Hopewell Takes a Loss

Hopewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Matoaca Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Hopewell's record is now 4-7. As for Matoaca, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hopewell is set to square off against their familiar foe Dinwiddie at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Matoaca will challenge rival Thomas Dale at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
