While Brookstone didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cougars who were credited with the win on Thursday. The Brookstone Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Calvary Christian Knights's three. Winning may never get old, but Brookstone sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

EJ Suragh was the driving force of Brookstone's attack as he scored both of Brookstone's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Brookstone's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Calvary Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookstone will welcome St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaGrange at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
