Golden Sierra won against Highlands last Tuesday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Golden Sierra blew past Highlands 19-8. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 11 runs or more this season.

Golden Sierra let Marina MacPherson and Lucy Miller run wild. MacPherson went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Miller scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Miller is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Golden Sierra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Golden Sierra and bumps their season record up to 3-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 8.5 strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.25 in the others. As for Highlands, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
