Softball Game Preview: Constitution Generals vs. Olney Trojans

The Constitution Generals will face off against the Olney Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Constitution turned things around against Carver High School of Engineering & Science on Friday. They came out on top against Carver High School of Engineering & Science by a score of 13-10.

Sophia Rando was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. Aliza Egeth was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Constitution always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olney). They skirted past Philadelphia High School for Girls 20-18. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly two runs.

Olney's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Constitution, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
