Football Game Preview: Palmer Ridge Bears vs. Mesa Ridge Grizzlies

The Palmer Ridge Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmer Ridge will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Two weeks ago, Palmer Ridge humbled Liberty with a 58-7 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-0.

Cole Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 33 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 83 yards and three TDs. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Zak Crisler did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

Palmer Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Derek Zertuche and Brody Elliott.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Mesa Ridge rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Red Wolves 54-22. The Grizzlies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Palmer Ridge's record is now 10-0. As for Mesa Ridge, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything came up roses for Palmer Ridge against Mesa Ridge when the teams last played back in September, as the squad secured a 35-7 victory. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
