The Habersham School has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Savannah Christian Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully The Habersham School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
The Habersham School scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They claimed a resounding 72-10 win over Heritage Christian Academy at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory The Habersham School has posted yet this season.
Anna Cadle was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 15 points along with three steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Camryn Hampton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Savannah Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 47-21 loss at the hands of Calvary Day. While losing is never fun, Savannah Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while Calvary Day is ranked 152nd).
The Habersham School now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Savannah Christian, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
The Habersham School came out on top in a nail-biter against Savannah Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, sneaking past 37-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Habersham School since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
