Hoosier North Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Kole Wilcox Delivers Electric Effort Vs Pioneer

North Judson-San Pierre picked up their ninth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kole Wilcox. Wilcox was unstoppable, rushing for 123 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 75 receiving yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made nine total tackles.

Pioneer had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Wilcox it was a similar story. Wilcox rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 47 receiving yards the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Performance from Jesiah Mcdaniel Leads North Judson-San Pierre over Pioneer

North Judson-San Pierre was led to victory by Jesiah Mcdaniel, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcdaniel rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Pioneer's probably not too fond of Mcdaniel given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mcdaniel saw the Panthers), he rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 84 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Another Game with at Least 115 Rushing Yards from Micah Rans

Micah Rans continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 115 rushing yards. He rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 62 yards and a touchdown. Pioneer is undefeated when Rans posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Rans is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Caston on Friday. Back in September (the last time Rans saw the Comets), he rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 21 yards and a touchdown.
