Basketball Recap: Ashdown's Win Ends 12-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prescott, Ashdown was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Genoa Central Dragons with a 63-58 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ashdown's win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Genoa Central, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

After both having extra time off, Ashdown and Hope will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Hope will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ashdown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Genoa Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bismarck at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
