Baseball Recap: Orange Cove Finds Home Field Redemption Against Wonderful College Prep Academy

There's no place like home for Orange Cove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves 13-3 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Josiah Guerra, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Orange Cove is 7-1 when Guerra posts two or more runs, but 4-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Lizaola, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Orange Cove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Orange Cove's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
