Basketball Recap: Omaha Eagles vs. Deer Antlers
Omaha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 63-38 to the Deer Antlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-58 back in January.
Deer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Burdine, who posted 18 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Burdine a new career-high in points. Mason Guinnip was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight rebounds.
Omaha's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Deer, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Omaha will host Timbo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
