Football Game Recap: Mt. Ayr vs. Interstate 35

After soaring high against Nodaway Valley last Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. Mt. Ayr lost to Interstate 35 by a decisive 13-28 margin. If Mt. Ayr were hoping to take revenge for the 25-34 loss against Interstate 35 the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

The defeat dropped Mt. Ayr's record to 1-0. The win bumped Interstate 35's record up to 1-0.

Next week, Mt. Ayr take on Central Decatur at 7:00 PM. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Interstate 35 will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Panorama at 7:00 PM.
