Jackson takes loss despite strong efforts from Jaedan Branton and Leonard Clark

Recap: Jackson Generals vs. Miami Beach Hi-Tides

If the Jackson Generals were riding high off their 83-61 takedown of the North Miami Pioneers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jackson took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami Beach on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jackson in their matchups with Miami Beach: they've now lost three in a row.

Leonard Clark and Jaedan Branton certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Clark scored 16 points along with two steals, while Branton scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Branton has scored all season. Jordany Fils-Aime was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Miami Beach, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Jackson on the road again on Tuesday and play against Mourning at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Miami Beach, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. One thing working in Homestead's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests.
