Recap: Bishop Snyder Cardinals vs. Orangewood Christian Rams
The Bishop Snyder Cardinals had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 32-21 win over Orangewood Christian.
Bishop Snyder's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Morales, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 59 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of John Bishop, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Orangewood Christian's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Elias, who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown.
Bishop Snyder's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Orangewood Christian, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Bishop Snyder will square off against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Mount Dora Christian Academy is ranked 443rd, while Bishop Snyder is ranked 440th). Orangewood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
