Softball Preview: Massabesic Mustangs vs. Biddeford Tigers
The Massabesic Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Biddeford Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Massabesic and Noble meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Mustangs walked away with a 12-9 win over the Knights. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.
Meanwhile, Biddeford was able to grind out a solid win over Bonny Eagle on Thursday, taking the game 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Madi Roy made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Roy was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
