Briarwood Academy is a perfect 10-0 against John Hancock Academy since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Buccaneers will venture away from home to challenge the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Buccaneers fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They strolled past Mead Hall Episcopal School with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-43. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask John Hancock Academy). They came out on top against Glascock County by a score of 49-41 on Tuesday.

Everything came up roses for Briarwood Academy against John Hancock Academy in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 62-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
