Football Game Preview: Sierra Stallions vs. Coronado Cougars + How To Watch

The Sierra Stallions will face off against the Coronado Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Sierra's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Pueblo County on Friday. They were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 41-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Stallions were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Coronado's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Canon City.

Sierra will need to focus on slowing down Henry 'Hank' Kelley, one of several Coronado players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 12 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Lyrik Smith also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Sierra has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 168 rushing yards a game.
