Basketball Recap: Rockmart Takes a Loss

Rockmart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 83-65 to the Murray County Indians. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 65-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Murray County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Rockmart and Murray County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Rockmart (ranked 395th) will meet Ringgold (ranked 151st) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Murray County will square off against Coahulla Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday down 255 places (392 vs. 137).
