Baseball Recap: Timberline Wolves vs. Boise Brave
Timberline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Boise Brave. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Brave from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Timberline had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Vinny Peters and Garrett Mirel Peters pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Mirel pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Mirel didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Logan Thistle was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Baker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Timberline's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Boise, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

The contest will give Timberline their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Boise will take on rival Borah at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. This will also be Boise's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
