Soccer Game Preview: Westbrook vs. Bonny Eagle

The Westbrook Blue Blazes will head out on the road to challenge the Bonny Eagle Scots at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Westbrook is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Westbrook is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Falmouth on Thursday. The Blue Blazes lost 4-0 to the Navigators.

Meanwhile, Bonny Eagle came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and Portland finished up their match with a 2-2 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Bonny Eagle's first draw of the season.

Bonny Eagle's draw gives them a new season record of 3-5-1. As for Westbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Westbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against Bonny Eagle in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Blazes since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
