Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was the 60-52 winner over Jefferson when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Washington Patriots fell to the Jefferson Cougars 52-46.

Despite the loss, Washington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jasiah King went 6-for-14 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chet Gore, who posted six points.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Coincidentally, Washington and Jefferson will both be playing Hedgesville the next time they take the court. Washington will host Hedgesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Jefferson will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th.
