Cuba City has gone 9-1 against Riverdale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cubans will take on the Chieftains at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Cuba City didn't have quite enough to beat Mineral Point and fell 3-2. While the Cubans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pointers 25-15 in the first set.

Cuba City started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 20-25, 25-21, 27-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Riverdale had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Necedah on Saturday.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Cuba City, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-9.

Cuba City took their win against Riverdale when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
