Volleyball Recap: Dale County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dale County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Geneva Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 23-25, 25-12, 25-16.

Jaslyn Smith paced Dale County's offense, picking up 11 kills. Smith got some help from Courtney Keith and her ten assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high eight blocks.

Dale County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Geneva, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Dale County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Ariton on the 20th. As for Geneva, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Straughn at 6:00 p.m.
