Baseball Game Preview: Scott Highlanders vs. Clarkrange Buffaloes

The Scott Highlanders will venture away from home to square off against the Clarkrange Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scott is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Scott came up short against Cumberland Gap on Monday, falling 15-3. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Meanwhile, Clarkrange didn't have quite enough to beat Cumberland County on Monday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their meetings with the Jets: they've now lost five in a row.

Clarkrange saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justen Curtis, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Clarkrange, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Scott suffered a grim 14-7 defeat to Clarkrange when the teams last played back in March. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
