Softball Preview: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Shadyside Tigers
The Shenandoah Zeps will head out on the road to face off against the Shadyside Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shenandoah will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
Shenandoah fell victim to Frontier and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 10-0 walloping at the hands of the Cougars.
Meanwhile, Shadyside fell victim to a rough 12-3 loss at the hands of Bellaire on Tuesday. Shadyside has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Shenandoah has fallen quite a ways from their 15-4 record last season and are now at 0-6-1. As for Shadyside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Shenandoah came out on top in a nail-biter against Shadyside in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shenandoah since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
