Preview: NorthWood Panthers vs. South Bend St. Joseph Indians
NorthWood is 1-0 against South Bend St. Joseph since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The NorthWood Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the South Bend St. Joseph Indians at 7:00 p.m. NorthWood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Last Friday, NorthWood got themselves on the board against Goshen, but Goshen never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 22-0 margin over the RedHawks. The result was nothing new for NorthWood, who have now won five matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
NorthWood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nitro Tuggle, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Another big playmaker for NorthWood was Jojo Edmond, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, South Bend St. Joseph was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 16-10 to Mishawaka Marian.
NorthWood's win lifted them to 7-2 while South Bend St. Joseph's loss dropped them down to 4-5.
