Basketball Recap: Gallatin Comes Up Short

Gallatin saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a hard 66-51 fall against the Cane Ridge Ravens. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cane Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avyion McCleton, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. McCleton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Jamari Hardyway was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Gallatin's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Cane Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Gallatin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cane Ridge, they will face off against Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillsboro will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Cane Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
