Softball Recap: Juarez-Lincoln Huskies vs. Mission Eagles
After flying high against Roma last Tuesday, Juarez-Lincoln came back down to earth. The Huskies came up short against the Mission Eagles on Friday, falling 13-5. The Huskies have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.
Valeria Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. April Marroquin was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Juarez-Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Mission, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.
