Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Kettle Run

Kettle Run extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Brentsville District. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three contests in a row.

Leah Trible was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Lily Collins was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kettle Run kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Kettle Run's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Brentsville District, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Kettle Run nor Brentsville District have any future games scheduled.
