Baseball Recap: Mount Tabor Comes Up Short

Mount Tabor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Davie War Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 last Tuesday.

Mount Tabor saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Cantarelli, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mount Tabor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Davie, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Mount Tabor will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against East Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. East Forsyth's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Mount Tabor's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Davie, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-4 loss against Watauga on the 29th.
