Softball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

Russellville managed to slip by Clinton County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Russellville lost 12-2 to Clinton County on Saturday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Russellville and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Clinton County, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Russellville will host Allen County-Scottsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Allen County-Scottsville will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Russellville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clinton County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-7 victory against Cumberland County on the 29th.
