Baseball Recap: Dixon Comes Up Short

Dixon came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-1 to the West Carteret Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-8 back in March.

Dixon's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for West Carteret, their record now sits at 10-6.

Looking ahead, Dixon will square off against West Craven at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Carteret, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-5 defeat against Swansboro on the 16th.
