Game recap: Rochester High School Football Team bests Geneseo

GENESEO, Ill. - Rochester (Ill.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 16 points, drop to eight before the final whistle blew on a 16-8 victory over Geneseo (Ill.).

After taking the lead on a Drake Berberet touchdown run in the second quarter, the Rockets were up 8-0 at the half.

The loss snapped Geneseo's nine-game winning streak.

Geneseo's only touchdown came on a 2-yard run by Rayce Singbush in the fourth quarter.



Rochester went into the matchup giving up only 16.4 points per game.

The loss comes after Geneseo defeated Lutheran 35-7 last week.
