After a string of seven wins, Seton's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost to the Battlefield Bobcats at home by a 52-38 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Conquistadors came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Bobcats are ranked 171st).

Seton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for Battlefield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fredericksburg Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Fredericksburg Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Seton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Battlefield, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Unity Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
