Basketball Game Preview: Round Rock Dragons vs. Cedar Ridge Raiders

The Round Rock Dragons are taking a road trip to take on the Cedar Ridge Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Round Rock is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Round Rock is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat McNeil 65-37. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Mavericks are ranked 856th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge was beaten by Round Rock Westwood 70-29 on Friday. The Raiders have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Round Rock's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 19-8. As for Cedar Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Everything came up roses for Round Rock against Cedar Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Round Rock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
