Basketball Game Preview: Leroy Bears vs. Millry Wildcats

The Leroy Bears will head out to face off against the Millry Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leroy has four straight wins, Millry has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Leroy is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Millry, sneaking past 43-40. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Bears were the better team in the second half.

Leroy found their leader in sophomore Ian White, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points and six boards. White's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Joshua Reed was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Leroy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Leroy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Millry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
