The Wayne Badgers will host the Green River Pirates at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wayne has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Green River will arrive with 13 straight victories.
Wayne is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since January 11, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Panguitch, falling 70-45. The Badgers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.

Despite their defeat, Wayne saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Hunter Robins, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. Those 18 points gave Robins a new career-high. Brayden Lee was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Green River was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Whitehorse 72-43. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 24 points or more this season.
Wayne better keep an eye on Rolando Anguiano. He was instrumental in Green River's win, going 10 for 16 en route to 27 points and six steals. The game was Anguiano's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Hernandez, who posted 20 points and six assists.
Green River pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38 points. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wayne has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Green River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
