Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marlington). They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Crestview Rebels on Friday. While the Dukes didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Logan Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Smith was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
