Volleyball Recap: Montrose Takes a Loss

Montrose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cass City Red Hawks.

Cass City found their leader in freshman Lydia Hartzell, who had six digs and two aces.

Montrose's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cass City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Montrose will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Byron at 6:30 p.m. on October 7. As for Cass City, they have already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against Grass Lake on the 27th.
