Soccer Game Preview: Benedictine vs. Catholic

The Benedictine Cadets will head out on the road to face off against the Catholic Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Benedictine will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Benedictine is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: St. Christopher's, who was ranked first at the time (Benedictine was ranked 11th). The Cadets blew past the Saints 4-0 on Tuesday. Considering Benedictine have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit St. Christopher's with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Harrison Efford (2), Mick Drew, and Oregon Telfian.

Meanwhile, Catholic hasn't lost a match since September 12th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Norfolk Academy finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Catholic's record moves to 5-7-2. As for Benedictine, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-1.
