Basketball Recap: Iron Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Bethesda Christian Academy

Iron Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 69-48 to the Bethesda Christian Academy Crusaders. The Swordsmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Bethesda Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Christopher Mims, Jr., who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden McRae, who put up 15 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iron Academy will host Haw River Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethesda Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mount Zion Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m.
