Robbinsville had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Copper Basin Cougars as they made off with a 66-42 win. The victory continues a trend for the Black Knights in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.

Despite the loss, Copper Basin still got an impressive performance from Drew Crowder, who went 7-for-12 en route to 17 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jonah Cearley, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Copper Basin's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-4-1.

Coming up, Robbinsville will challenge Blue Ridge Early College at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Copper Basin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-29 loss against Hiwassee Dam on the 2nd.
