Basketball Game Preview: Coldwater Cavaliers vs. Minster Wildcats

The Coldwater Cavaliers will take on the Minster Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coldwater has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Saturday, Coldwater got the win against Van Wert by a conclusive 59-37.

Meanwhile, Minster beat Calvary Christian 55-48 on Saturday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Spartans are ranked 743rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coldwater pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Minster, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Coldwater was able to grind out a solid win over Minster in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 65-54. Does Coldwater have another victory up their sleeve, or will Minster turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
