Recap: Lafayette Rams vs. Windsor Dukes
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jamestown, the Lafayette Rams were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They snuck past Windsor with a 41-36 victory. Lafayette's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lafayette's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sarah Lynch led the charge by scoring 18 points. Kenzie Charity was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
The win got Lafayette back to even at 2-2. As for Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will take on York at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. York will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Lafayette is ranked 144th). As for Windsor, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Nansemond River at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th. Nansemond River will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
