Basketball Recap: Canistota Takes a Loss

If Canistota was feeling good fresh off their 65-41 takedown of Freeman Academy/Marion last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Canistota Hawks fell to the Hanson Beavers 56-52. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Beavers are ranked 43rd).

Canistota's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hanson, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Canistota will head out on the road to face off against Chester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hanson, they will challenge Leola/Frederick at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leola/Frederick will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Hanson surely won't give up without a fight.
