Baseball Recap: Teaneck Comes Up Short

If Teaneck was feeling good fresh off their 15-7 takedown of Wood-Ridge on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highwaymen took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramapo Raiders on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Highwaymen in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Franjey Martinez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two stolen bases.

Teaneck's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teaneck will host Dwight-Englewood at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ramapo, they will welcome Morristown at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
