Baseball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Rebels vs. Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds

Sacred Heart hasn't had much luck against Guy-Perkins recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rebels will head out to face off against the Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. Sacred Heart will be strutting in after a win while Guy-Perkins will be coming in after a loss.

Sacred Heart is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Shirley last Monday as they made off with a 15-3 victory.

Meanwhile, Guy-Perkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against West Side, falling 18-6.

Guy-Perkins saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cardan Foster, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Dawson Watkins was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Guy-Perkins' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Sacred Heart, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Sacred Heart suffered a grim 19-9 defeat to Guy-Perkins in their previous matchup on April 1st. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
