Holly Springs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Smithfield-Selma as they made off with a 5-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Holly Springs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Jack Britt's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Clinton, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Jack Britt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Clinton are ranked 43rd).
