Baseball Recap: Lee Park Prep Find Success

Lee Park Prep hadn't done well against NorthPoint Christian Academy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the NightHawks 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the NightHawks two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Not much got past Brody Adams, who gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep NorthPoint Christian Academy off the board. Lee Park Prep is 2-1 when Adams allows one or fewer hits, but 3-9 otherwise.

Lee Park Prep's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-10. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

Lee Park Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.53 runs per game on average), something the NightHawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
